About the Hartsfields

In January of 2007, Ray and I met at The Soundvent, a small music venue in Thomasville, North Carolina. Ray was in a local hardcore, Christian band called The Avenger. We spoke briefly that night and later found each other via social media. We became instant best friends due to the wide range of interests and life experiences that we shared. Because of the distance between our hometowns, we dated for only 9 months before Ray popped the big question and we were married in June of 2008.

In September of 2009, we welcomed our first daughter into the world. Now five years old, Eisley Rae is a creative and free-spirited little girl. She keeps us on our toes but always smiling. It wasn't until July of 2012 that her baby sister made her appearance. Maebry Grace is now 2 and a half years old and she couldn't be more different from her sister. Unlike Eisley, Maebry is a little shy... until she warms up to you. She is our "climber" and can, at times, be a little wild. We are so blessed that the Lord has entrusted these precious girls to us.

Currently, both Ray and I are full-time students at a local community college. Ray works a full-time job outside of the home and also teaches music lessons on a part-time basis at our house. Ray is also a singer/songwriter and a worship leader. (Click here to hear some of his songs!) I, primarily, am a stay-at-home mom and homemaker.

Between work, hobbies, and responsibilities... our lives are very full. In addition to everything else that we have going on, Ray and I are very passionate about helping others strengthen their marriages through our own personal experiences. This blog, however, is an outlet for our ideas, opinions, and beliefs. We will explore a variety of topics and hope to encourage, enlighten, and edify others in the process. Thanks for reading and let us know what topics you would like for us to write about.
